Synopsis (Goodreads)
Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she’s at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past . . .

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die just to see her again. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen’s triumphant return.

Celaena’s epic journey has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions across the globe. This fourth volume will hold readers rapt as Celaena’s story builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.

Yes. Yes. Yes!

Yet another stunning addition to this already amazing series so far. Sarah J. Maas sure knows how to write some lovable characters, as well as many heart-wrenching scenes.

It’s hard for me to pick just one thing that draws me in when it comes to the way that Maas writes. Both her characters and her world-building are, simply put, breathtaking.

Celaena and Rowan make the most badass, ass-kicking pair that I have read in a long time. Aedion is just freaking awesome. He is one of those characters that, when you first meet him, you’re unsure just what to do with him. While I struggled with reading Manon through Heir of Fire, she has now started growing on me and I cannot wait to read more about her, especially when she is with Abraxos (who just happens to be my favourite character out of the whole series so far, closely followed by Fleetfoot)

Overall, I raise my glass to you Sarah, I cannot wait for more from you, as heartbreaking as the ending (when it comes) will be.
